While the Beatles only recorded together for 7
years (1963-1970), they were quite prolific. They officially released
219 songs (not counting compilations and the Anthology reunion). In that
short amount of time, their influence was felt around the world in
music, pop culture and fashion. For awhile there it seemed like the
Beatles were leading the way with everyone following in their musical
footsteps. There is no underestimating their influence on popular music.
That's where the Beatlesque Music Show comes in. Rip The Music
will be celebrating the Beatles significant influence on music over the
years with a series of Podcasts (available for streaming or
downloading). As you will see, their influence is still being felt (and
heard) by everyone from the biggest groups like Cold Play and Jet) to
critics favorites like the Big Star and the Raspberries. The show will
cover the entire spectrum with many songs being podcasts for the very
first time. These podcasts are at a low bit rate and Rip The Music
encourages you to purchase the songs from Amazon or Itunes. We'll make
links available for every song we play. For another look at the Beatles influence
on popular music, check out the Beatles
Cover Series.
